It was hard coming home too,
to see your kids all bouncy and
healthy and everything else and
then remembering the other ones.
Yeah, it was, like I said I had a hard time with,
you know the kids wasting food and
that kind of stuff for a long time.
Even now and when I was in the military
I didn't waste anything.
Every piece of kit that ever got scrapped
I stripped it right down
to the bare nuts before it left.
I wasn't going to let anything go to waste and
because you know we come from such a
disposable society and to be in a place where
you can't find that stuff, I started thinking,
no, I says, I've got to start being more vigilant
I guess in the way that I look at the world,
recycling big time.
