Canadian Historian Ted Barris returns to the Barrie Legion on Tuesday evening, April 29, 2025 to tell the amazing story of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (the BCATP) in this the 80th Year of the end of WWII in Europe. Ted will share the stories that he researched and wrote about in his book, Behind The Glory. Within its five-year life-span, the BCATP supplied a continuous flow of battle-ready pilots, navigators, wireless radio operators, air gunners, flight engineers, riggers and ground crew, principally for the RCAF, the RAF as well as the USAAF.
