Canada Post has resumed their operations, after an ongoing labour disruption. Monthly Veterans Affairs Canada cheques for January, including disability benefits are expected to be delivered as scheduled. Cheques will continue to be delivered each month according to the regular payment schedule. We encourage you to sign up for direct deposit. If you are registered for MyVAC Account, you can sign up for direct deposit now. Please still call our toll-free line at 1-866-522-2122 to confirm the change has been made. The deadline to sign up for direct deposit for January is 9 January 2026.

Disability pension corrective payment
If you received a Veterans Affairs Canada disability pension or certain related benefits between 2003 and 2010, you are eligible for a corrective payment because of a discrepancy in our calculations during those years. Most payments to recipients are automatic.
