Location:

Le Quesnel is a village about 26 kilometres south-east of Amiens and 8 kilometres south-west of Rosieres and a little north of the main road from Amiens to Noyon. LE QUESNEL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION is situated on the northern side of the village on the road to Caix.

  • Photo of Albert Hammond– About 9 p.m. on August 12th, 1918, Private Ab Hammond was killed in the trenches by an exploding shell fragment at the Battle of Amiens.
He is buried at F585 Le Quesnel Communal Cemetery Extension.
