Assevillers is a village approximately 10 kilometres south-west of Peronne and the ASSEVILLERS NEW BRITISH CEMETERY is a little east of the village on the north side of the road to Barleux.

  • Photo of John Alexander Gordon– Enlisted December 3, 1915, with the 4th Cyclist Company at London, Ontario. Served in France with the 11th Trench Mortar Battery. Wounded in action August 24, 1916. Returned to England and transferred to the Royal Flying Corps as Lieutenant. Returned to France in June 1918 and was reported missing from August 12, 1918.
