  • Photo of James Wallis White– Portrait of James Wallis White while he was a sapper in the Canadian engineers. He came to the US in 1902 with his sister. Worked for Dupont in New Jersey. Attempted to enlist in the US Army in Ramsay, Montana. Twice turned down. Enlisted with the Canadian engineers. Contracted the flu on board ship on his way to the British Isles. Died in military hospital in England.
  • Family Photo– James Wallis White is the boy on the rocking horse. This portrait of his family was taken in Lurgan, Ireland in 1899. The man in the back row, center, is my grandfather, Samuel George White.
