The YPRES RESERVOIR CEMETERY is located to the North West of the town. From the station turn left and drive along M.Fochlaan to the roundabout, turn right and go to the next roundabout. Here turn left into M.Haiglaan along for 300 meters and turn right into M.Plumerlaan. The YPRES RESERVOIR CEMETERY is on the right hand side, approx 200 meters along.

Photo of Ernest Machon – Ernest George Machon, In uniform, shortly before his death in 1917. I never knew him but from all accounts he was a loving son and brother to his family, Father George, Mother Sarah Jane, brothers Everet, Jack, George, Douglas and sister Blanche. Rest in peace Ernest. -
