This tank was dedicated by the 22nd Canadian Armoured Regiment (Canadian Grenadier Guards) to the memory of its soldiers who fought in Northwest Europe from 1944 to 1945.

Note: This tank is no longer present at the Connaught Range Site. It was reclaimed by the Canadian War Museum and given to an indiviudal in Calgary, AB.

THIS M4 SHERMAN TANK BEARS THE
OPERATIONAL DESIGNATIONS OF THE

22nd CANADIAN ARMOURED REGIMENT
(CANADIAN GRENADIER GUARDS)

AND IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF ITS
SOLDIERS WHO FOUGHT IN NORTHWEST
EUROPE FROM 1944 TO 1945 WITH COURAGE,
HONOUR AND SELFLESS DEDICATION. THEIR
VALOUR AND SACRIFICE CONTRIBUTED TO
THE LIBERATION OF OCCUPIED EUROPE AND
THE UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER OF ENEMY
FORCES.
