This memorial is dedicated to the patriots killed in 1837. The plaque was erected by the City of Saint-Eustache, the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Jean-Olivier-Chénier section, and the Chénier Association of Saint-Eustache.

Jean-Olivier Chénier, 31 ans, a aussi été enterré ici de décembre 1837
à juin 1891. Il repose actuellement au cimetière de Saint-Eustache
depuis le 26 juilet 1987.
Ce cimetière a été bénit par monseigneur Charles Valois,
Évêque du diocèse de Saint-Jérôme, le 24 juin 1996.
