Pte J. Frederick Parkinson, 87th Grenadier Guards, was killed in action on October 21, 1916 in France when he was just over 18 years old. He was the apple of his father's eye, a bright boy who wanted to become a doctor. He attended the Model School in Sawyerville and Cookshire Academy.

Location:

Miraumont is a village about 14.5 kilometres north-north-east of Albert and the Cemetery is some 3 kilometres south of the village on the east side of the road to Courcelette (D107). The ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY is signposted in the centre of Miraumont.
