Son of Thomas Evans, of Bethnal Green, London, England, and Mary Evans; husband of Jane Wilson (formerly Evans), St. Thomas, Ontario. Brother of Edward and brother-in-law of Elizabeth Grimshire. Pte Evans was medically discharged on 19 February 1917. He then re-enlisted for the second time on March 7, 1917.
