Halsingborg is on the direct route from Copenhagen to Stockholm and is connected by ferry with Helsingor in Denmark. The HALSINGBORG(PALSJO)MUNICIPAL CEMETERY stands on high ground 34 kilometres north-east of Halsingborg.

Lancaster LL757 of 101 (RAF) Sqn was ABC equipped on 30Apr 44. It took part in the following Key Operations: Duisburg 21/22 May 44; Homburg 20/21 Jul 44; Kiel 23/24 Jul 44; Stuttgart 28/29 Jul 44; Fonteney-le-Marmion (Tactical) 7/8 Aug 44 (nine-man crew); Stettin 29/30 Aug 44-Lost. 
The aircraft was airborne 2119 29 Aug 44 from Ludford Magna on a mission to Stettin, Germany, from which it failed to return. No crash site reported. 
All are buried in Halsingborg (Palsjo) Municipal Cemetery in Sweden.
F/O J.E.Swanson RCAF, Navigator, was the only Canadian member of the crew.  
The RAF crew were:  F/L W.A.McL B.Stewart, P/O F.A.Pocock,  Sgt J.S.Wood, F/S K.Stephenson Sgt W.G.Rasey (ABC), Sgt A.E.Muat, and F/S J.Kennedy. 
LL757 was one of three 101 Sqdn Lancasters lost on this operation.
