  • Press Clipping– Pte. Alexander Douglas Macdonald Calder was born in Seaforth, Ontario, on July 24th, 1888.  He listed his occupation on his military attestation as a tinsmith.  He enlisted with the 134th Battalion (48th Highlanders) on March 16th, 1916 in Toronto.
