The 1899 City of Windsor Register lists Harry Barr as a student living at 62 Pelissier Street in Windsor, Ontario. Pte Harry Bayard Barr is memorialized on the South African War Memorial in Jackson Park, Windsor, Ontario. A plaque also dedicated to his memory is located in All Saints Anglican Church, City Hall Square, Windsor. It reads as follows: Essex Fusliers - To the Glory of God and in Memory of Harry Bayard Barr. A member of the Hospital Staff of the Royal Canadian Regiment. Died at Raavwpoort, South Africa. Pte Barr was a member of the 21st Essex Fusiliers.
