Constable Davies was born in Hampstead, England and came to Canada before he was 15 years old. He joined the RNWMP at the age of 20. In February 1912, he became one of the founding members of the Oddfellows Lodge in Cochrane, Alberta. Constable Davies was killed while trying to make an arrest near Brooks, Alberta. He is buried in Union Cemetery in Calgary, Alberta.

Commemorated on Page 38 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
