Charles William Kelsey (1877-1975) trained in England and emigrated to Montreal in 1922. His stained glass designs can be found in England, Australia, the United States and in over sixty-eight churches in Canada. His war memorial windows were commissioned between 1921 and 1956 including ten memorials for World War I, twenty-two memorials for World War II and ten memorials for both World Wars.
The Parish of St. Stephen, in Lachine, Quebec is one of the oldest Anglican churches in Canada having been founded in 1822.
A three panel World War II memorial window dedicated to Warrant Officer Class II Reginald Ernest Vokey is in the nave of St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Reginald was the son of Ernest William and Elsa May Vokey, of Lachine Quebec. This window was commissioned in July 1945, for $500. The window depicts St Michael holding a flaming sword and a shield. Included is the badge for the 415 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
