Le cénotaphe de Chelsea honore les hommes qui ont perdu la vie au combat durant la Première Guerre mondiale et la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le monument a été érigé par la Société historique de Gatineau et la municipalité de Chelsea (Hull-Ouest) le 11 novembre 2011 et a été dévoilé par Jean Perras, maire de Chelsea, et Ernie Mahoney, président de la Société historique de la vallée de la Gatineau. Le révérend Murray McGlashan a prononcé les prières de reconnaissance, et Robert Martin a lu les noms inscrits sur les plaques.

Private Allan Sidney Farmer 42nd Battalion, Canadian Infantry, (Quebec Regiment), 3rd November 1917, aged 21. Son of Mrs. F. Farmer, of Kirk’s Ferry, P.Q., and the late Fred Farmer. Commemoration at the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium.

Pilot Officer John Donald Bates 431 Sqdn, Royal Canadian Air Force, 20th February 1944, aged 19. Son of Thomas H. Bates and Janey Pearl Bates, of Farm Point, Province of Quebec. Commemoration at the Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery, Brandenburg, Germany.

Pilot Officer George Frazer Kingsbury 5 (RAF) Sqdn, Royal Canadian Air Force, 26th June 1944, aged 21. Son of G. Clifford Kingsbury and Mary F. Kingsbury, of South Hull, Province of Quebec. Commemoration at the Imphal War Cemetery, India.

Leading Aircraftman Richard Neiland Hammond R/180998, Royal Canadian Air Force, 22nd September 1943, aged 20. Son of William W. Hammond and Jane H. Hammond; brother of Jean Dessenden, of Ottawa. Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario.

Gunner James Allan Reid, 23rd Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, 7th September 1944, aged 21. Son of Levi C. and Elizabeth Reid, of Farm Point, Province of Quebec. Commemoration at the Adegem Canadian War Cemetery, Maldegem, East Flanders, Belgium.
