This is the inscription on the Aberfoyle War Memorial, Perthshire. The 1901 Scottish Census shows the Wilson family living at Aberfoyle. His father was also called Archibald and his mother Christina. Two brothers Gavin and John also served in the Canadian Army and are mentioned on the memorial as casualties. Archibald (Arch.) enlisted on 18/12/1914 at Winnipeg. He was a barber by trade.

His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. He was discovered and exhumed at a later date and now rests in a marked grave.May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens)

CIMETIÈRE BRITANNIQUE DE LOOS Pas de Calais, France
Loos (Loos-en-Gohelle) est un village au nord de la route allant de Lens à Béthune. À partir de Lens, prenez la route N43 en direction de Béthune. En arrivant à Loos, tournez à droite à l'intersection où est placée un panneau de la Commission des sépultures de guerre du Commonwealth. Le cimetière se trouve à un kilomètre de l'église de Loos, dans la partie sud du village.
