F/Lt Allen's school registration card written by himself on entry to North Toronto Collegiate Institute in 1934. He transferred to the new Lawrence Park C.I when it opened in Sept of 1936. The notes at the bottom of the card are those of the office staff. All information is no long out of date.

The staff of Allen's high school (Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute) requested information from CMHQ in Ottawa as to the whereabouts of some of their missing students. Allen was just one of many at this time.

This picture of John Allen's grave in Berlin War Cemetery was sent to his family. It looks much more stark than the present stone. All of his crew are buries here with one exception, R193139 John A Cobbett of Hamilton. The Americans mistook him for an American airman and moved his body to
one of their cemeteries.

This re-burial document lists all of the members of Allen's crew except one, Sgt Cobbett from Hamilton Ontario. The American's mistook Cobbett for an American aircrew and moved his body to one of their cemeteries in France. Cobbett was later buried in a Commonwealth War grave but not with is crew. Cobeet's name is mispelled on this document.

CIMETIÈRE DE LA GUERRE DE 1939-1945 DE BERLIN Allemagne
Le cimetière de la guerre 1939-1945 de Berlin se trouve dans le district de Charlottenburg à 8 kilomètres à l'ouest du centre de la ville, sur le côté sud de Herstrasse.
À partir de la Theodor Heuss Platz du district de Charlottenburg situé près du complexe des salles d'exposition et du stade Olympique, suivez les panneaux qui annoncent Spandau en parcourant la Heerstrasse. Le cimetière se trouve sur le côté gauche de la Heerstrass, à trois kilomètres de la Theodor Heuss Platz.
Les visiteurs doivent dépasser le cimetière de la guerre 1939-1945 de Berlin jusqu'aux feux de circulation, puis tournez directement à gauche pour accéder à une petite voie à sens unique parallèle à la Herrstrass. L'entrée du cimetière se trouve sur cette petite route à sens unique.
