2019 Women Veterans Forum

The 2019 Women Veterans Forum was the first of its kind in Canada to discuss specific challenges women face in their lives after service. Held in Charlottetown, the forum brought together Veterans, researchers, experts and organizational leaders.

Women Veterans Forum Update and the 2SLGBTQI+ Roundtable virtual series – 2020

In 2020 Veterans Affairs Canada hosted a series of 4 virtual events focused on Women and 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans. These events provided an opportunity for Veterans Affairs Canada to continue the dialogue from the first Women Veterans Forum held in May 2019.

September 24: Panel discussion with senior officials from Veterans Affairs Canada on Policy, Services and Program initiatives impacting Women Veterans.

September 9: Panel discussion with senior officials from Veterans Affairs Canada and Department of National Defence on Women Veterans Research and Data.

August 26: Panel discussion with senior officials from Veterans Affairs Canada, the Department of Women and Gender Equality and the Canadian Armed Forces / Department of National Defence, including a joint update on Women and 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans.
