Levite Paradis

Saint John, New Brunswick

Mr. Paradis is a Veteran of the Second World War and the Korean War. He continued to serve in the Canadian Forces with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers until 1968 when retired with the rank of Warrant Officer II. Mr. Paradis is a longstanding member of the Last Post Fund (LPF). He was a Director of the former Maritime Branch, but in 1991, he assisted in the organizing and staffing of the NB-PEI Branch. He was appointed Branch's first Secretary Treasurer and later became its President. At the national level, he has served on the LPF's Board of Directors as Secretary and Vice-President. He remains active with the LPF and, as a Branch Director, his advice is regularly sought. In 2006, he received the Last Post Fund's Award of Merit in recognition of his outstanding contribution. Mr. Paradis is also a very active member of The Royal Canadian Legion. He has provided outstanding service to his fellow Veterans as a Service Officer, Honorary Pensions Advocate, Branch President, District Commander, and Provincial President. He has brought the same energy and dedication to the Atlantic Provinces Korea Veterans Association - Unit One where he served as Past Secretary and continues to be an active member.
