Michel Jackson

Mr. Michel Jackson is a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces. For the past fifteen years, Mr. Jackson has fulfilled the role of service officer with The Royal Canadian Legion. His compassionate work in this role has made a resounding difference in many people’s lives, including Veterans, their widows and their families. Mr. Jackson has helped find people affordable housing, helped people work through their financial issues, and fundraised for the support of families and individuals in need. Mr. Jackson’s work in organizing and operating a Legion curling bonspiel called the “Brown Jug” helped transform the bonspiel into a major, province-wide event. In Mr. Jackson’s many years as service officer, he has shown great compassion for Veterans, and his exemplary work is highly regarded by those he serves, as well as other Legion branches throughout the province. Mr. Jackson is presently working towards the development of a Veterans’ lounge in the Turner Valley Legion.
