Allyson Dale

Dr. Allyson Dale has collaborated with the Military Veterans Wellness Program (MVWP) to support the mental health of Veterans for the past five years.

Allyson has worked with essential support services that has allowed for the enhancing of the well-being of Canadian Veterans. She has been an integral part of the team since its inception, and has contributed many long hours, knowledge and expertise without compensation. She has actively raised awareness about Veteran mental health across various platforms. Allyson has also presented information to Ministers within the provincial and federal governments.

Allyson is a Defence Scientist with Director General Military Personnel Research and Analysis, National Defence. She has collaborated with the Toronto Police Services Military Veterans Wellness Program since 2020, and has been instrumental in its design, development and success. Her dedication has directly contributed to connecting over 200 Veterans in crisis with essential support services, enhancing the well-being of Canadian Veterans.

Allyson has been a cornerstone in the MVWP team since its inception, attending meetings and providing input on the development and design of the program. She assisted in developing a comprehensive Performance Measurement Framework for the MVWP, encompassing a strategic framework, a logic model, and key performance indicators. This framework not only outlines the strategy, mission, vision and objectives, but also maps the operational processes and connects efforts to results, ensuring the program’s success in achieving its intended objectives.

Allyson has played a critical role in raising awareness for the MVWP across various platforms. She has been involved in briefings and presentations, communicating the program’s objectives and achievements at the provincial and federal levels. She has also presented to national and international law enforcement organizations including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Veterans Affairs and the Australian Federal Police.

She has volunteered her knowledge and expertise without seeking compensation or recognition. Her motivations stem from a deep desire to contribute meaningfully to the cause, focusing solely on improving the well-being of Veterans who have served their country.
