Shannon Campbell has dedicated much of her life in the service to others, including 20 years serving Veterans with The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 15.
Shannon has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 15 for 20 years. Over 10 of those years have been at the executive level where she served with Honours and Awards (2009-2013), as Youth and Education Officer (2011-2012), as Secretary (2011-2014) and as Treasurer (2018-present).
During her time with Branch 15, she also served with the Poppy Campaign, assisting with the poppy box distribution and collection and counting of funds and fulfilling any role that was needed.
Shannon also served as the liaison between the branch and the ladies auxiliary. Shannon and her team made regular visits to the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, bringing comfort and care to the residents. Together with her husband Dave, Shannon ran a weekend bingo and helped organize branch BBQs for members for over 10 years.
While her children were members of the 132 Spitfire Air Cadet Squadron and for many years after her kids had aged out, Shannon also served on the parent council and as liaison to Branch 15.
Shannon is a big reason for the continued success of Branch 15.
