Five members of the 1914 Stanley Cup winners would one day be inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Three of the future Hall of Fame players served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War - Frank Foyston, George McNamara, and Allan McLean Davidson.
