Constructed in November 1999 in memory of those who fought in the Boer War (1899-1902), First World War (1914-1918), and Second World War (1939-1945) Seldom-Little Seldom held a special ceremony at the War memorial on Nov. 11, 1999. On hand for the ceremony were Fogo Island Veterans Ambrose Hamett, Sr., George Decker, Gregory Cole, and Special Guest Mrs. Marion Dawe (nee Anthony), a Veteran of the Canadian Women's Army Corp, WWII who served from 1943-1945.
