The Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) Memorial honours those who were killed while training here on 17 May 1973. The cairn displays a bronze Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) Regimental badge, five sections of a Centurion Tank track painted in regimental Colours, and a plaque.
