Operation Juno Memorial Building and Plaque

Oromocto, New Brunswick
Type
Other

This memorial is dedicated to Operation Juno. It was erected by the Combat Training Centre Gagetown. Juno is the code name for the Normandy Beach where the 3rd Canadian Division landed on D-Day. No other military event in recent history depended so much on an accurate forecast of weather conditions. The name will serve as a reminder to one of the most critical duties of Army meteorology.
