Erected in the early 1970s, this memorial is dedicated to those who served during the First and Second World Wars. The first legion in Tabusintac was in the old Boy Scout building. This building was sold and the elementary school on Highway 11 was bought and renovated to be part of the present legion. When membership grew, an extension was added. Later, the Ladies Auxiliary renovated the basement area of the old school as a veterans' lounge. Remembrance Day services require dedication. The ceremony is presently held inside at the branch. The members also participate in other legion branch remembrance celebrations. The school children pass in posters, and certificates/prizes are given out on this day. A hot meal is served to the veterans and guests by the Ladies' Auxiliary yearly. This day is very special for each of us. Lest We Forget!
