A First World War soldier stands at attention on top of this memorial. It was originally erected to honour those who lost their lives in the First World War. Their names are inscribed on the left and rights sides of the memorial.

Names of those who lost their lives in the Second World War were later added on the back of the memorial. A plaque to remember the Korean War was added later at the front of the base.
