The Canadian Victoria Cross Recipients Monument is a four sided obelisk that stands 72 inches high and is about 20 inches wide. The four sides alphabetically list the Victoria Cross Recipients from the Crimean War, India’s First War of Independence, Bravery at Sea, Boer War, Second Boer War, First World War and Second World War.
The monument was designed by Tompkins and Heels Monuments Inc. and was built in 2013. It was dedicated by Princess Anne on 22 October 2013. The monument sits in a prominent location next to the flags of Canada, Ontario and Barrie on the south shore of Kempenfelt Bay.
