Other

The Vimy Urn Wall was erected in 2018 and designed by Canadian artist and sculptor Marlene Hilton Moore. It consists of a wall, urn and red maple trees. This Urn holds sacred soil from the April 9, 1917 battlefields of Vimy Ridge; soil that symbolically contains the DNA of Canadian soldiers that lived and fought in the fields and trenches of Vimy. All are remembered.

The granite wall is 1.7m x 1.5m x 0.4m and the urn is made of bronze. The four red maple trees represent each of the four divisions of the Canadian Corps who fought at Vimy Ridge.
