The late Colonel F.A. Tilston established admission scholarships for students entering the First Year Pharmacy, with the highest admission index and who have not won an admission award of greater value. One of these scholarships will be awarded to an Indigenous student. Colonel Tilston was a 1929 Pharmacy graduate and retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Drug Limited. He was the first University of Toronto graduate (and the 9th Canadian) to receive the Victoria Cross, the highest Commonwealth award of wartime honour, in the Second World War.
