This memorial was erected by the Alumni of 1 Squadron graduating class of 1983 at the Royal Military College of Canada. Under the leadership of 14009 Chris Daley (RMC ’83), all of the 4th year cadets in 1 Squadron pitched in and helped construct the window, in the basement of the Stone Frigate building. The light stained glass windows is featuring a spider web based design, with the #1. Since spiders are so common in the (pre-modernized) building, they earned the lofted position as 1 Squadron mascot. There is also a plaque with inscriptions inside the front doors to the Stone Frigate to highlight the origins of the window.
