This sculpture, “CANADIAN JUMPER”, is a bust depicting a paratrooper wearing a Kevlar helmet, C-7 rifle (attached to slung snowshoes) and parachute rigging. After the disbandment of the Canadian Airborne Regiment, a company of paratroopers is now assigned as one of the companies in each of three Light infantry Regiments (PPCLI, RCR, and R22eR). “CANADIAN JUMPER” has a distinct hat badge placed on the top surface of its base (between the Paratrooper’s feet); the badge of the former Canadian Airborne Regiment. This sculpture was unveiled in March 2013 by the Royal Military College of Canada, and is dedicated to current and past Canadian paratroopers.
