The Chalmers Church First World War Plaque honours the men who fell and those who served during the First World War.

The Chalmers Church Second World War Plaque is also located here.

Note: In 1890, the Chalmers Free Presbyterian Church was planned at the triangle of land formed by Barrie Street, Clergy Street and Earl Street. In anticipation of the union of the Congregational Church, Methodist Church and Presbyterian Church, the Congregationalist Church of Kingston elected to join Chalmers in 1922. The Union of the churches officially took place in 1925 with the formation of the United Church of Canada.
