The Frontenac Club opened in 1908 in the limestone building at the corner of King Street E and William Street. In 1919, the club honoured 10 of its members who were killed in the First World War with a bronze plaque. The club closed in the 1930s and the building was converted to apartments. In 2000, it was converted to an inn. To this day, the plaque can still be found inside the building.
