Grand Bend Memorial Cannon

Grand Bend, Ontario
Type
Other

This old gun in Grand Bend was one of over 3,000 German weapons captured during the First World War and brought to Canada as war memorials. Most have rusted away and have been removed but this one, which arrived in Grand Bend in November 1920, has been well looked after. Source: "By Little Towns" by Robert Shipley.
