A dedication service was held for Remembrance Road on November 10, 2000. Twenty maple trees were planted in memory of those from the area that died during the First and Second World Wars. At the base of each of the trees, is a cross with the name of one the servicemen who died.

Roads of Remembrance are a living memorial: trees represented the victory of life over death. Memorial trees became living symbols of the sacrifices made overseas.
