This memorial is dedicated to members of St Augustine's, Anglesea Square Church who died during the Great War. It was originally located at St Augustine's, Anglesea Square Church located at the corner of Chapel and Clarence streets. The plaque was relocated to St John the Evangelist Anglican Church when St. Augustine's closed. St. Augustine's was a mission church of St John the Evangelist Anglican.
