Chalmers United Church - Second World War plaque

Ottawa, Ontario
Type
Other

This bronze plaque is dedicated to the members of Chalmers United Church who died during the Second World War.

It should be noted that the inscription does not specifically state that the plaque was unveiled by Chalmers United Church. However, the names on the plaque also appear on NICMM 35059-285 "Chalmers United Church- Second World War scroll ". Clearly, Chalmers United Church unveiled this plaque to memorialize their members who died in service during the Second World War.

Historical note: Chalmers United (previously Chalmers Presbyterian Church) and Dominion United (previously Dominion Methodist Church) amalgamated in 1962 to form Dominion-Chalmers United Church.
