The War Memorial Gate was dedicated in August 1921 to those from the community who have gave their lives in the First World War. The gate consisted of heavy brick and stone top pillars, bridged with an iron arched band and two double iron gates. In addition, a heavy iron picket fence enclosed the front boundary of the park on both sides of the main gate. Recognition was later added to those who gave their lives in the Second World It was erected by the Town of Plattsville and relocated to Memorial Park in 1958.
