This memorial is dedicated to the men of Foley Township who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars. It was erected by the Country Community Club and the Township of Foley.

The original cenotaph was located at Foley Memorial Hall and dedicated in 1953. A small plaque with the original cross are located next to the new cenotaph.
