This Honor Roll was dedicated to those Moore Township residents who died in the First World War. The marble tablet was installed in the former Moore Township Hall at Moore Centre, Ontario. The Township Hall re-located to a new building in the late 1950s and the hall was given to the Moore Centre Women's Institute. When the institute closed their hall in ca. 2010, no provisions were made to preserve the Honor Roll.
Laurie Mason, who was the Curator of Moore Museum at the time, pursued leads as to what happened to the tablet. It was discovered in a shed on a local farmer's property. Laurie's husband, Ian, and another museum volunteer went to the farm to obtain the Honor Roll and delivered it to the museum. Volunteers at the museum constructed a wood plank outdoor kiosk, with large doors that can be closed when the museum is not open to protect the plaques from vandalism. A new concrete paver plaza was added in 2023.
