Erected by the Thunder Bay Naval Monument Committee, this memorial, known as "The Anchorage" is dedicated to the war dead suffered by the Royal Canadian Navy and the Merchant Navy during the Second World War as well as to those who survived.

The following memorials are part of the Anchorage Memorial:

Anchorage Memorial Bell, Superior Anchors, Carronades, Ships Tribute, S.S. Rappahannock Anchor, Mariners' Monument, and Thunder Bay Sailors' Plaques.
