Erected by the Abitibi Power and Paper Company Ltd. and subsidiary companies, this memorial is dedicated to its employees who were killed during the Second World War.

In 2015, the Abitibi Power and Paper Company Ltd. and subsidiary companies War Memorial was moved here, next to the Sturgeon Falls Cenotaph, from it's original location near the Abitibi Power Dam.
