The Verner War Memorial was erected by Mr. Larry G. Morin and the municipalities of Caldwell and West Nipissing. The M114 howitzer is dedicated to local Veterans of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. In the back of the howitzer is a row of flagpoles for each province. A stone on each side of the walkway has a plaque with the names of the men from Verner who died at war.
