A stained glass window at the Church of St. Aidan was dedicated to parishioner Private Joseph Rollit Taylor, who was killed in the First World War. Joseph was born on 14 May 1897 to Joseph and Katie M. Taylor in Montreal, Quebec. The family moved to Toronto where Taylor was a student when he enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 15 November 1915, then placed in the 44th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force. On 31 January 1917 he was killed by a German bullet.
