A tablet honouring Eglington Methodist Church parishioners who gave their lives in the First World War was dedicated by the Comrade Class. The church was first located at Glengrove Avenue at Yonge Street. In 1857, it officially became known as Eglington Methodist Church. In 1914, a new lot was purchased at 65 Sheldrake Boulevard and the church opened on December 21, 1924. It joined the United Church in 1925. It is not known what happened to the tablet.
