On February 6, 1921, Brigadier-General Robert Rennie, DSO unveiled two bronze tablets honouring St. Paul's Methodist Church parishioners who served and parishioners who died in the First World War.

In 1930, the church at 121 Avenue Road changed its name to St. Paul’s Avenue Road United. The St. Paul's United congregation moved into the Trinity United building in 1980. However, the two congregations were not formally united until May 30, 1982, when the inaugural worship service was held for the newly formed Trinity-St. Paul's United congregation.
